Getting Started

• Create an account: Sign up with your email or use Google or Facebook to get started instantly. Once signed in, your timelines are available on any device.
• Explore the demo: Not sure where to begin? Try one of the built‑in demo timelines to see Temporeum in action before creating your own.

Navigating the Timeline

• Scroll & zoom: Scroll horizontally to move through time and use the zoom controls to switch between detailed daily views and broad multi‑year overviews.
• Jump to today: Press the "Today" button to instantly center the timeline on the current date.
• Search & filter: Use the search bar to find events by keyword, or apply category filters to focus on specific themes across your entire timeline.

Managing Events

• Add an event: Open Quick add (the "+" in the toolbar) and choose Event. Give it a title, category, date range, and optionally attach photos, documents, or audio. The same menu also adds Projects, Goals, Habits and Journals.
• Edit or delete: Click any event on the timeline to view its details, then choose Edit or Delete.
• Categories & tags: Open the Panels menu in the top bar to manage color‑coded categories (each with its own icon) and free‑form tags that cut across them.

LifeOS

• Goals: Define long‑term outcomes and track their status from planning through completion.
• Projects: Break goals into manageable projects with tasks, resources, and progress tracking.
• Tasks: Create actionable items with due dates and priorities. Tasks can be standalone or linked to projects and events.
• Habits: Build daily or weekly routines and track your streaks over time.
• Journal: Record reflections, ideas, and notes tied to your timeline.
• Resources: Save articles, tools, and references connected to your goals and projects.
• Life Areas: Organize everything by themes—Health, Career, Finance, Learning, Relationships, and more—to maintain focus and balance.

Sharing & Collaboration

Open the Share dialog from the Shared button in the top bar → Share this timeline. Turn on one or more modes:

• Read only: A link others can browse but not modify. They can still save their own copy.
• Collaborate: Search for people by name to invite them, then work on the timeline together with full edit access.
• Public link: A link anyone can view without signing in.
• Shared inbox: The Shared button (with a badge for new invitations) collects timelines shared with you — new invitations, saved, and viewed — and the ones you have shared by you.

Export & Personalization

• ICS export: Download your timeline or individual events as ICS files to sync with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any compatible app.
• Themes & colors: Switch between day and night mode and adjust primary and secondary colors in your profile settings.
• Language: Select your preferred language from the Language menu.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Temporeum collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. The short version: we collect only what the service needs to work, we don't run ads, we don't use tracking or analytics cookies, and we never sell your data.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: When you register with email, we store your email address, display name, and a one‑way hash of your password (we cannot read the password itself). If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider; we never see or store your Google or Facebook password.
• Your content: Everything you create in Temporeum—timelines, events, categories, tasks, goals, projects, habits, journal entries, resources, comments—and any files you upload (photos, documents, audio) are stored so we can show them back to you.
• Technical data: Our servers automatically log your IP address, browser type, and the requests you make. We use these logs to keep the service fast, diagnose errors, and detect abuse—not to profile you.
• Cookies: We use only essential cookies: one that keeps you signed in and ones that protect against request forgery. We do not use advertising, analytics, or third‑party tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click through.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the service: render your timelines, sync your content across devices, and power features like sharing and calendar export.
• To keep your account secure: authenticate you, protect sessions, and apply rate limits.
• To send essential emails: password resets, sharing invitations, and important account or security notices. We do not send marketing email.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and attacks on the platform.
• To improve the product based on aggregated technical data. We do not build advertising profiles of individual users.

3. Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. Data leaves our systems only in these cases:

• Infrastructure providers: We rely on a small number of providers to run Temporeum—server hosting, transactional email delivery, and error monitoring. They process data only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service.
• Content you choose to share: When you share a timeline via a public link or with specific people, the content of that timeline becomes visible to those recipients. You control this, and you can revoke sharing at any time.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data when required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of Temporeum and its users.

4. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account or ask us to delete it, we remove or irreversibly anonymize your personal data within 30 days. Copies may persist briefly in routine backups, which are rotated and overwritten on a short schedule. We retain data longer only where the law requires it or where it is needed to investigate abuse.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the European Union), you have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Have your account and associated data deleted (see our Data Deletion page for the exact steps).
• Export your timeline data in the standard ICS calendar format.
• Restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on it.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Security

All traffic to Temporeum is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are stored only as salted one‑way hashes. We additionally use hardened session management, strict security headers, rate limiting, and automated dependency and code security checks. No online service can promise absolute security, but we treat protecting your data as a core part of the product.

7. Children's Privacy

Temporeum is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. International Data Transfers

Temporeum is hosted in the European Union. If data is ever processed outside your own country, we apply appropriate safeguards so it remains protected to the standard described in this policy.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will announce them in the app or by email before they take effect, and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Temporeum after that means you accept the revised policy.

Data Deletion

You can have all personal data associated with your Temporeum account permanently deleted at any time. To request deletion, email support@temporeum.com from the email address linked to your account, with a subject line such as "Delete my account".

If you sign in with Google or Facebook

So we can identify the correct account, please include in your request:

• the email address attached to your Temporeum, Google, or Facebook account,
• your full name as it appears in the app,
• which provider you use to sign in (Google or Facebook), and
• for Facebook sign-ins, your Facebook app-scoped user ID, if you have it.

What happens after your request

• We verify that the request really comes from the account owner — we may ask you to reply from the account's email address or to confirm a detail only you would know.
• We then permanently delete or irreversibly anonymize your profile, timelines, events, LifeOS records (goals, projects, tasks, habits, journal entries, resources), comments, and uploaded files.
• Copies may persist briefly in routine backups, which are overwritten on a short rotation schedule. We keep data beyond that only where the law requires it or where it is needed to investigate abuse.

Timing

Verified deletion requests are completed within 30 days, and we confirm completion by email. Deletion is permanent — we cannot restore your timelines afterwards, so consider exporting anything you want to keep (ICS export) before you write to us.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Temporeum. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use Temporeum.

1. The Service

Temporeum is a web‑based platform for creating, organizing, and visualizing timelines of events, together with connected life‑planning tools—goals, projects, tasks, habits, journals, and resources (collectively, "LifeOS")—plus sharing, collaboration, and calendar export. We may add, change, or remove features as the product evolves. The service is currently offered free of charge; if we introduce paid plans in the future, we will announce them clearly in advance and no existing feature will be silently taken away from your data.

2. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and be at least 16 years old.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, notify us immediately at support@temporeum.com.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Temporeum for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or is harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or the platform's infrastructure without authorization.
• Interfere with the operation of the service, including through automated scraping, bots, or denial‑of‑service attacks.
• Use the platform to distribute malware, spam, or unsolicited communications.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without prior notice where the violation is serious.

4. Your Content

• Ownership: Everything you create on Temporeum—timelines, events, journal entries, goals, uploaded files, comments—remains yours. We claim no ownership of your content.
• License to operate: You grant Temporeum a limited, non‑exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, back up, and display your content, solely to provide the service to you and to those you share it with. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
• Shared content: When you share a timeline publicly or with specific people, its content becomes visible to those recipients. You are responsible for what you choose to share, and you can revoke sharing at any time.

5. Privacy

How we collect, use, and protect your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.

6. Intellectual Property

The Temporeum platform itself—its design, code, branding, logos, and documentation—is owned by Temporeum and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use the Temporeum name, trademarks, or branding without our prior written permission.

7. Service Availability

We work to keep Temporeum reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error‑free operation. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or temporarily suspend access when needed, and will give advance notice of planned downtime where practical. We recommend using the ICS export feature to keep your own copies of important data.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Temporeum is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Temporeum and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities—arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using Temporeum and request deletion of your account at any time (see our Data Deletion page). We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the service—in which case we will give you reasonable notice and the opportunity to export your data. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) remain in effect.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of Temporeum is established. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer‑protection rules of the country where you live.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms as the service evolves. If a change is material, we will announce it in the app or by email before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Temporeum after the change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
